187 Ystrad Road, Pentre (now demolished). The shop was a bakers and confectioners with a large room upstairs for functions and dances. John Collier had retired to Barry when this photograph was taken and the shop was being run by his eldest son Edward (Jack) Collier. The business closed in the 1930s and Edward Collier died in 1946.
